Three sculptural seats are situated on the village green of this extensive new development just outside Crawley in East Sussex. Two seats are based on a similar design, each one incorporating the outline of giant wrapped leaves in their backrests. One depicts the oak, the other the alder, celebrating the existing and newly planted tree varieties found on the village green. The larger work is a curved seat with vertical elements forming the seat back. It suggests different stages of growing, developing forms. It is positioned overlooking the pond and is inspired by the aquatic plant forms found there.
